How do I add text that doesn't blur when I resize the image?
Short answer: keep text as a native Text layer for as long as possible and only flatten it at the very end, after resizing — text blurs when it's turned into pixels first and then scaled.
Why it happens
Zurapic's Text tool draws type as vector outlines while it's still editable; once you flatten or export, those outlines become fixed pixels. Resizing pixel text afterward — in Zurapic or anywhere else — resamples it like a photo, which softens the crisp edges that made it readable.
How to keep it sharp
- Set your canvas to its final output size before adding text, so you never need to resize the finished image afterward.
- If you must resize, do it before adding text — or keep the Text layer unflattened and resize the layer itself, which stays vector-based instead of resampling pixels.
- For text that has to survive resizing done by an external platform (social apps recompressing your upload), size it larger than the minimum readable size to leave a buffer.
